South Shore Reads is owned and operated by Erin Coogan, M.Ed., whom is a state-certified teacher and reading consultant with degrees in the following areas:
Elementary Education (B.S.)
Business Management (B.S.)
Reading Instruction K-12 (M.Ed.)
Erin has a diverse background in education, having taught in both public and private schools in a variety of different settings. She has instructed students of all backgrounds, including students with dyslexia, learning disabilities, ADHD/ADD, autism, emotionally disturbed, oppositional defiance disorder as well as the highly gifted.
In addition to her tutoring company, Erin provides literacy support and instruction to students in kindergarten and first grade at a neighborhood public school.
Erin recently moved to Plymouth from the NYC area with her husband and enjoys exploring all that this beautiful coastal town has to offer. She recently adopted a six year old golden retriever named Kaylee. When she is not busy tutoring or playing with Kaylee, Erin enjoys running, traveling, baking, interior design, and of course, reading!
